Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your email address — captured by Stripe when you pay. We use it to send you a private edit link (a “magic link”) for your day, a payment receipt, and, if your day is ever stolen, a notification with a one-click buy-back link.
• What you type into your day — the display name, message, and link you submit after claiming or stealing a day. These are shown publicly on that day’s page.
• Avatar image — if you upload one, it’s stored with our file host (Vercel Blob) and displayed publicly on your day’s page.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number or other payment credentials; see Stripe’s own privacy policy for how they handle it.
• Basic usage data — standard, non-identifying analytics provided by our hosting platform (Vercel). We don’t run any separate tracking or advertising pixels.

How we use it

We use your data only to run the site:

• To display your claimed day, with the name, message, link, and avatar you provided.
• To send you your private edit link and payment receipt.
• To notify you if your day is stolen by someone else, so you can buy it back if you want.
• To detect and remove abusive or fraudulent content.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your email for marketing you didn’t ask for.

What’s public

Remember that a claimed day is a public page. Your display name, message, link, and avatar are visible to anyone who visits that day — they’re the whole point of claiming it. Your email address is never shown publicly; it’s only used behind the scenes as described above.

Data retention

We keep ownership history (who owned a day, when, and for how much) indefinitely, since price history is part of the product. If you’d like your email address or profile content deleted from our records after you no longer own a day, email us and we’ll take care of it.

Your choices

You can edit or remove your display name, message, link, and avatar at any time using your private edit link, for as long as you own the day. To request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, email hello@claima.day.
